BOOK DEANNE FITZMAURICE TO SPEAKSee the world differently.
A Pulitzer Prize-winning documentary photographer and Nikon Ambassador, Deanne Fitzmaurice has spent nearly forty years photographing history as it happens. She brings those stories to the stage with stories of curiosity, resilience, adventure, and humanity that your audience won’t forget.
"My hope is to help people understand, to feel something, and to care about the issues I’m documenting."
DEANNE’S CAREERDecades behind the camera, at the center of history.
Deanne Fitzmaurice has spent her career photographing the moments that have defined both our nation and our world — wars, natural disasters, marriage equality rulings, championship games, and a steroid scandal that shook Major League Baseball, to name a few. Her work has since run in major publications such as Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, TIME, and The New York Times. In 2005, a photo essay on a young Iraqi boy named Saleh earned her the Pulitzer Prize.
Audiences walk away with a felt understanding of resilience, built on real photographs of real people, told by the person who took them.
