San Francisco has lost half of its iconic duo, the Brown twins. The twins were spotted frequently during their many walks around town, smiling in their characteristically matching outfits. Vivian Brown passed away in her sleep leaving behind her sister and lifelong companion, Marion. While working on staff at the San Francisco Chronicle I  had the chance to photograph the twins. While spending time with them, I noticed they had a knack for finishing each other’s sentences. The two were wonderful, charismatic people, and Vivian’s presence will be missed.
